Quest... Quest... Hmm...

What do you all think? Is this the name that will capture the mass market?
I remember when the Wii came out, and I loathed the name. Joke's on me there.

So, 'Quest':
a) Good name?
b) Bad name?
c) Meh?

For me its c) Meh. Hence this post/poll. It doesn't inspire me at all, but also doesn't offend. It sounds a bit dated somehow, but the 80's are in fashion these days so... Meh? If I were to name it, I'd have gone for a name that tries to sum up all its abilities we have in VR so far, like Oculus Mix. Then you can say "I'm in the Mix!" for their marketing slogan, hahaha! (yes, Windows has missed a trick there...) The word 'Quest' to me makes me feel like I'm undertaking a task that could be difficult. The single syllable naming convention they have going for their entire range is very good mind!

It's fine. Remember the controversy over the Nintendo Wii name? It didn't take long for it to overcome all the jokes and just become the accepted name.

Meh. I think 'Move' or 'Free' would have been better. Quest seems too specifically related to types of games you might play. But who cares really as long as it's good, the name will become what it's known as and will be normal before we know it.

a) Good name.

I actually think it's pretty good. It might not be for us as we are all old hats at the VR game, but, I think for the Market the Quest is aimed at, I think the name works.

It's probably aimed more at the millennials stateside, the word 'Quest' resonates with that generation.

Even though it'll get some attraction from enthusiasts, it's more a circumstantial device that won't replace a home setup if your already in that place.
