Hi. I just received my Rift today and just setting it up. When setting up i can see my right controller when wearing the rift but not my left controller is this right?.

Thanks.

press buttons on the `Touch`controllers :)
When i first set up my Touch i put battery in wrong way, took a few mins till i figured it out :D

Hi thanks. Can that big padding part be taken out as it looks like its coming loose and there's a little gap?.

The facial interface with the padding can be taken off and cleaned/replaced. It just clips in and out.

By default there is a nose gap if you look down. This aids ventilation and some users find it helps them use the PC keyboard on occasion.

Thanks i thought it broke already but i managed to put it back in.

About changing in game graphics and resolution on Elite etc. If i change to ultra and 1440p will that change the resolution as well or should i keep it at default?.

I do have a 1080GTX I7 6700K 4.0 oc 4.5ghz I was just wondering if it ok to alter graphics and resolution..

The VR version will set the appropriate resolution. If you have a good graphics card then you can use the supersampling option to up-rez the graphics to improve clarity.

Am i ok putting graphics to max in games what got there own graphics settings like subnautica?.

You're free to change any graphic settings you want but be warned if the framerate drops too low you may get motion sickness. The rift has an interpolation feature called ASW which helps smooth out low framerates to mitigate this. The biggest difference to graphics quality is supersampling as it makes things a lot crisper and finer details more readable (no point in putting out the draw distance to max if stuff in the distance is blurry). So put the graphics up as high as you can, but be prepared to drop graphics details down and up the supersampling instead if that makes the display clearer.

Ive Been on steam VR for 4 hours not all at once but now starting to get Error error error 40% reflectiveness error when downloading some environments. Is this what happens when trying to run vive on the rift?.

I assume you mean environment within SteamVR Home? But no, that isn't normal.

Just noticed this new update to SteamVR - might fix the problem you're having:

Fixed issue with changing environments or subscribing to new environments.
