Oculus Rift S - Asus ROG STRIX G17 connection problem

Hello there

I wonder if anyone would be able to help, my son has an ASUS ROG STRIX G17 and me and my wife brought him the Oculus Rift S for Christmas to use with it as was told it would be compatible, however the laptop itself doesn't have a display port to connect it to, is there any adapter we could use? Both myself and my wife have googled this and some people say you can get it to work and others say no so its a bit of a minefield to say the least! Any help would be appreciated, we did buy his laptop from Overclockers this year

Rift S won't work with adaptors, it's picky enough as it is about Display Port's

Delete this, I just read above post. Youll have to send it back and get the oculus quest 2

From what I've been reading you can use it wirelessly or connect to a USB 3 port on the PC/Laptop

Get the Quest 2, it will work wirelessly or tethered with a USB-C cable.
