I am getting a rift for Xmas and was wondering if it was worth buying a third sensor?
I had two when I started (after coming from a Vive) then I bought the 3rd, it does make a difference but if you go on the main support website for oculus it gives a really good tutorial on what the range and cone shape of the sensor field is so you can plan things out.I am getting a rift for Xmas and was wondering if it was worth buying a third sensor?

Mine took 5 days working days, be sure to post your thoughts on a 3 sensor setup. Thanks for the replies, I have gone for a third sensor. I ordered direct from Oculus, any ideas on how long it will take to arrive?
I notice they don't recommend using four sensorsI would like to try a 4th sensor out of curiosity as i can’t see how it could be better
While your results may vary, using more than three sensors can create more technical and performance issues than it’s worth. We recommend sticking with three.

I think that’s old, 4 sensor setups is in beta at the moment, reddit users sudgests an improvement over 3, but it’s not the step up it is from 2 sensors to 3I notice they don't recommend using four sensors

I have a friend that has 2 Rift sensors in opposing corners, as do lots of other Rift users, he thinks it’s great and can’t see the point in a 3rd, I tried it and found tracking poor in certain places of my play area, it’s now perfect with a 3rd, I would like to try a 4th sensor out of curiosity as i can’t see how it could be better

I believe mine only took a couple of days. Probably mostly depends when in the week you order.
Where you guys ordering the extra sensor from ? or you buying an extra set of touch controllers that come with one ?
As most places don't seem to sell the sensors on there own
Same here oculus direct....they based in Ireland so not too far awayOculus themselves.
