Oculus third Sensor

Think it greatly depends on usage, I mainly do seated stuff and am fine with two. Not had issues with the room scale stuff I've played either ( robo recall, everybody's golf, etc)

I treated myself to a 3rd sensor, but I only had 2 for a few days...as above said if you play seated it makes no difference. However, I have found its a lot better for games like Robo Recall as you can spin round to shoot behind you without issues...you really do forget which way you are facing in "real life!"

In the games I play, absolutely yes, buying a 3rd sensor has increased my VR enjoyment and the way I’m immersed up to another level. The only way I wouldn’t recommend one is if you only intend to play seated cockpit games like Dirt Rally or Elite Dangerous, everything else (other than arktika.1 and SuperhotVR, there front facing only) is infinitely better, turning my body instead of moving a stick to turn around is much MUCH better.

I am getting a rift for Xmas and was wondering if it was worth buying a third sensor?
I had two when I started (after coming from a Vive) then I bought the 3rd, it does make a difference but if you go on the main support website for oculus it gives a really good tutorial on what the range and cone shape of the sensor field is so you can plan things out.

Brilliant, any chance of a link?

Thanks for the replies, I have gone for a third sensor. I ordered direct from Oculus, any ideas on how long it will take to arrive?
Mine took 5 days working days, be sure to post your thoughts on a 3 sensor setup.
I have a friend that has 2 Rift sensors in opposing corners, as do lots of other Rift users, he thinks it’s great and can’t see the point in a 3rd, I tried it and found tracking poor in certain places of my play area, it’s now perfect with a 3rd, I would like to try a 4th sensor out of curiosity as i can’t see how it could be better

I think it's more to do with bandwith problems. Many struggled already without buying an inateck card. I think 4 could be bringing a lot of bandwith problems to the support forums.

Dude I ordered 1 last week and it only took about 3-4 days to come...

I believe mine only took a couple of days. Probably mostly depends when in the week you order.

Thats not too bad, as long as it is here before xmas day. :)

Where you guys ordering the extra sensor from ? or you buying an extra set of touch controllers that come with one ?

As most places don't seem to sell the sensors on there own
