Does anyone here have a set of these dimms? Are they worth it? £300+ seems a bit too much for memory to me. I spose it is pretty much the best DDR2 memory you can get at the moment. Only worth it if you are going extreme performance X6800?

Hi there

You might get an extra 10MHz or so out of them. Best bang seems the G.Skill 2GB PC2-6400 HZ Kits as those seem to hit over 1000MHz quite easy and more so.

I've had Corsair PC2-6300C3 and the PC2-8500 upto 1150MHz stable with just 2.2v going through them, so pushing them beyond 1200MHz is doable. Though there is some who have taken the G.Skill HZ kit just as far I think and its half the price.

Sorry for the OT, but bung some more volts through the ram and watch it fly... Should get 1000mhz @ 4,3,3 if not tighter from the C3 with luck and volts.

The HZ will hit high FSB too, but will probably run slacker timings than the C3, its basically the dogs danglies (or was) of the DDR2 world
