OCZ 4GB vs Corsair 4GB (2x2GB)??

Only if you're going to be needing to overclock the memory past maybe 850mhz.

Well the OCZ cost's slightly more but has better timings.

However, the Heatpipe may be a problem for some large CPU HS coolers so that needs taking in to consideration. IMO if you can afford it then the OCZ will be slightly better (because of the timings). If not, get the Corsair. You'll be happy with either.

i see, didint even think of the heat pipe; well if i will not get that much of a performance difference then i will go with the Corsair. Can someone please confirm my decision, i just want to be sure, thanks in advance!

I had the 4GB Domintor and it would not go by 820mhz, same for another here who warned me of that. (not same kit as on their site).

Was gonna say OCZ Platinum 2x2gb but they only sell the 4x2gb

Dominator is Corsair and its higher spec than the DHX, the 4GB kits still need to mature, 2GB Modules dont clock as well as 1GB Modules.

It was the same when 1GB Modules appeared and 512MB Modules were the norm.

I had the normal OCZ Reaper and it did not play nice with my Asus 680i Mobo, OCZ have issues with it and it is all in a thread in their forums. (not just limited to the Reaper but Reaper X was not out then).

i have recently bought 4 sticks of the Corsair 2Gb Cas 5 XMS2 and it doesn't overclock at all, but if the OP isn't overclocking, it'll be just fine. It doesn't run hot at all, so the heatpipe is a bit of waste in my opinion, although it could be necessary on the Reaper due to some difference in configuration.
