OCZ 500w ModXStream

Question here about this unit as it comes with an 8 pin CPU power connector, does that mean I need an 8 pin motherboard? This PSU oddly enough isn't 4+4 so I was wondering if I would be able to get a 4 pin mobo with this...

Are you sure, ive got the 600w version and its got 4+4.

I've got this model personally in one system and just used another in a build.

The connector is 4 + 4 so can be used for MB's requiring either a single 4 pin connection (using 1 plug) OR a 8 pin connection ( by using both plugs side by side)

(the 8 pin plug is the same 4 + 4)

Even in Mid Tower cases they are a little short if you want tidy cable management
