Hey guys, just wondering whats the general feeling about these PSU's, my other half needs a new PSU for her C2D rig, which is identicle to mine and was wondering if it would run it perfectly fine, overclocked to 3ghz 24/7

e6300
DS3
2gb Ram
x1800xt
2 hdds
2 optical drives
fan controller.

thanks.

I ordered one myself this morning before the weekly deals change tomorrow, its allways good to hear other people reccomend what you have spent your hard earned cash on
Im just hoping it fits my 20 pin motherboard, I hear 24 pin is where its at now

Should work fine. Normally the extra 4 pins detatch.

Good job the other half has a Akasa Eclipse62, plenty of room to move the cables...ordered at 3:46...no confirmation of shipment...im wondering about stock levels now, as there is no real reason why it wouldnt be sent out today.

Bit late tbh, if you order later than about 2pm I wouldn't expect it to definitly despatch the same day.

I use the same PSU for my rig and since building it, the PSU has been clicking, best way to describe it is like a cricket, rather annoying.

After posting on the OCZ forum a mod told me he didn't really know what it was since the sound didn't stop when the fan blades weren't rotating. He then directed me to a post on how to power the PSU with only a few fans as the load, but due to me not wanting to stick a paper clip into a live power supply I'm pretty certain I'm going to buy a new PSU.

When the PSU doesn't make the clicking sound, it is pretty silent. The blue LED fan is pretty funky and as posted above, the cables aren't very flexible but apparently glow when introduced to UV light.

Build quality seems pretty nice, just a shame the clicking sound mine makes, but I'm sure it's only a rare fault. Other than that, seems like a decent PSU.

Just a warning, mine came with a US plug connector, so I had to use my old Power cable, either that or buy a US > UK plug adapter.
