Hey guys, anyone got one of the new OCZ Elixir keyboards yet?

I was going to buy one, but some people have been saying that there is a problem with the board - that it won't register 4 or 5 simultaneous keystrokes, meaning that, if you're playing CSS, you're not able to press, for example, W, D, shift, and space at the same time, which is a pretty common move in CSS.

I looked on the official OCZ forum, but they weren't clear. The OCZ people were trying to make out like it wasn't a problem, but I don't know if I believe them tbh.

If you buy one and its below standard, you could take it back :)

Unfortunately there is no standard. The number of keyboard presses allowed at once depends on the technology the keyboard uses.

Manufacturers don't tend to advertise this number unfortunately. Good high keyboards allow every key to be pressed at once, poor cheap ones only allow 2-3, good average ones are 4 - 6.

EDIT: OCZ state its 8 simultaneous key presses so if it doesn't do this its faulty. Plus if you needed more than that at once you could always program one of the 10 macro keys.
