I'm almost certainly going for the 2Gb of PC4000 EB Platinum on offer today and was wondering if I should get a DDR booster to go with it? Will the booster get me a more stable overclock at ~250Mhz or is it only for nutters that want to put crazy voltages through their RAM?

It's only for nutters who put crazy voltages through their RAM. I'm not aware of any 1GB RAM sticks that will clock better with above normal voltages but I could be wrong.

with the DFI boards that are out these became redundant as DFI boards can put up to 4v through the RAM!

think OCZ like 3.3v which some boards cant do.

I'm the same matey, still on 478, with BH-5 GeIL one, i need one to push it to its limits. I'll be buying one very soon. Most i can get out of it just now is like 220 2-2-2-5 :( Cause of the P4C's low Vdimm settings.
