Hey guys,

I have just built my new rig got a q about m y ram, if ya would be kind to steer me in the right direction :P

Mobo - ASUS P5N-T Delux (1303 BIOS)
CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 (running 1600 FSB @3.6ghz)
Ram DDR2 PC2 8500 REAPER HCP X2 2048 Sticks

Now I have set the ram to 1066Mhz and post shows this also in the bios I have set the SLI on Expert for memory, I have used memtest to show my timings n volts:
5
5
5
15
26
2T
2.1v

Now please correct me as im still picking up stuff mem test shows my chips set as Nvidia NForce 680i SLI?? I have a 780i board this right or do i need to change something also CPUz shows me running PC2 6400 BUT from what I have read this is common hence why I used mem test??

basically is my ram all set up to use it as its best :P

Cheers guys

Dan

Try the RAM a 2.0V - 6 series chipets over volt the RAM slightly.

The 7 series boards are just a revision of the 6 series unless you get the790i which is a completely 'from scratch' chipset. Older versions of memtest may report yours as a 6 series. Doesn't mean anything is wrong. What does CPUz say?

it says pc6400 BUT in speed its at 533 epp 1 also sees 4096 even though i can only get 2557 lol ... love pc they are so much fun ha

No Vista Ultimate 32 bit.. odd as it used to show up in my side bar tool as 3 gig and that i idle around 800 with 2.2 spare now i get 2557 idle the same but seems to me 512 less ... the only thing i have changed is gone up from a x850xt 256 card to a nvidia 8800 gt oc2 512 card?? could this of done anything?
