Hi all
Wasn't really sure what section to put this in, so I put it here as i suspect it's the memory with the problem...
Basically my brother has just bought some OCZ PC3200 premier series 1GB (2x 512MB Dual Channel) cas 2.5 3 3 7 and its not working in any configuration in the motherboard, that being a FN41SP mobo in a shuttle SN45G-Ver 2. This is an NF2 Ultra 400 based chipset. The PC wont even POST, graphics card doesn't initiate and output anything to the display, and there is no chance to enter the BIOS. Literally the pc doesnt do anything after pressing the power button.
Does any one know of any known issues with this combination? Only reason why I ask is that I have since lent him a 256MB stick of OCZ cas 2.5 3 3 6 PC3200, and it works fine. I'm aware that the NF chipset can sometimes be a little picky about what ram it uses.
Any advice or help would be very much appreciated!
Note, I shall be testing the ram later on some time in my DFI NF3 250GB, but I'm just wondering in advance if there are any quick fixes.
Cheers!
