Can anyone tell me if they have had any issues with OCZ Intel memory?

I was considering buying 2x2GB (the black ones) 1333 or 1600

"I meant 2x2gb... dual channel OCZ3X13334GK"

Ive got a foxconn blackops motherboard which is a intel x48 board so im guessing they will work well with it.

Do you think its wise to buy 1333mhz ram, I'm using a Q6600 at the moment but im guessing i'll upgrade towards the end of the year .

Or should I be looking to use 1600 - 1800mhz ram? My current motherboard supports them.

Will 1333Mhz DDR3 modules that i mentioned above work well with many i7 motherboards and processors?

With I7 ideally you will need to use triple channel memory.

1333mhz is slightly overkill in my mind but, it will work fine.

Well I am low on memory at the moment, i need some more so i kinda figure i'll buy some now that will work well with what i currently have and also the I7 hardware when i do finally take the plunge .

Do you reckon the OCZ3X13334GK are the right way to go?

Cant i get 4x 2GB (8gig for my four DDR3 slots) running as two pairs in dual, and when i change my board to a I7 one that has six DDR3 ports just buy another pair of identical OCZ3X13334GK. This would be 12Gb of identical Ram in total, what do you think?

I would prefer corsair. I am sure OCZ is a very good ram, I actually use OCZ Rally2 flash drive and PSU on another PC, but for some strange reason, I always had problem with OCZ ram. Once I bought from OCUK, had to Return it because it wasn't stable. Then my friend bought OCZ DDR2 1150MHz model, had problem with it as well. Today I went to one of my clients place to fix PC problems, and find that the OCZ ram was causing trouble. But so many other people are happy with OCZ, maybe it is just me.

I have always used corsair and they never gave me any problems. I am using this at the moment:

I am happy with it. Running it at 7-7-7-20 without problems.

And for the speed, it is always good to go for a higher speed if there is no huge difference in price. It always pay off for the next upgrade.

I've currently got some XMS3 DHX 1333 2x1GB and only four memory ports, so i was going to remove them and stick 4x2GB of the ones below.

OCZ Intel Extreme XMP 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel (OCZ3X13334GK)

They are:
£36.79 inc VAT per pair (2x2GB)
£73.58 (For 8GB) + Delivery £7 = £80.58 to your door

£80.58 for 8GB DDR3 1333mhz Ram seems pretty good, what do you think?

Am i wasting my time?

Fire Wizard: That OCZ memory should be absolutely fine. Though, make sure you're using a fully functional 64-bit system i.e. a 64-bit operating system otherwise the system won't be able to address all 8GB of RAM, it will only be able to address around 3GB, give or take a few hundred mb.

I should be fine on the operating system side of things at the moment as im using windows 7 ultimate (RC 7100) right now, plus I've also pre ordered 2x copies of the professional and x2 copies of the premium versions too. Woohoo! :D

Thanks for your response mate :)

Fahim, thank you as well...
