I intend on running the following spec with the aforementioned PSU:

- Q6600 @ 3.0GHz
- 2 x 2GB PC 1066 DDR2
- GTX 295 (not got this yet, this is the reason for upgrading)
- Couple of HDDs
- Plus a few USB bits and pieces and several fans

The PSU has 2 12V rails at 25A a piece. The GTX 295 alone apparently needs about 24A, which to me seems to be cutting it a bit fine(?). Single rail 12V is obviously beefier and probably better suited.

I'm looking to spend under £70, and a modular PSU would be a real bonus (although I can't find any 12V single rail modular PSUs in budget).

I think my problem is I keep managing to convince myself it's only just going to cut it. I really don't think I could deal with a hard-wired PSU wither. My case is bad enough with a modular unit!

I might just press the buy button. On the face of it, it does look like a good deal.

Cool. You prompted me to search for something lower power with a solid 12V rail, hence my finding the 675W Toughpower. I've gone and bought that, so hopefully it'll be here in before the 295!

I was also considering the OCZ ZS 750W, but even that has a lower specced 12V rail than the Toughpower (and no reviews anywhere)!
