I have heard from multiple sources that this PSU has rather short cables.
Has this been a problem for anyone in the past or currently?
Would you suggest buying a different PSU for long cables?
I will need it to fit nicely in my Antec 902.

Thanks

I don't know about the OCZ PSU but the Antec Truepower I put in my 902 was great for cable length. Seems a bit more expensive that the ModZStream though.

Building at the mo... using a OCZ Modstream Pro 500w Modular PSU

I'm using a Mid tower case (not sold by OcUK...just a cheapy) The 24 pin is a "good" fit but I've just had to order a 8 pin extender to reach round over the top. The 8 pin connector is situated top left on my ASUS P5Q MB. PSU is bottom mounted. To be fair the rest of the modular cables are fine, it's just the 8 pin ATX power cable that you may have problems with dependent on MB

This is the extension that I have ordered

I have the OCZ ModZStream 700W modular psu and have had no problems in my Coolermaster Scout, granted if your using a full tower you might have problems but the scout looks roughly around the same size as the 902 so id say it should be fine. :)

I think they are much too short on the 500w version. I use a molex to 8pin CPU power inatead so now this new modular PSU has wires hangin around. I just can't under stand why they hard wires 4 pin and 8 pin CPU power!??? The 24pin is far too short too for my liking.

I have the 600w version in a HAF 922 case, which is a very tall case. I have no problems getting the cables around the case, routing them behind the motherbaord tray to keep it tidy, and connecting them to the components at the opposite end of the case.

They are the perfect length for the HAF 922, which as i have said is one of the bigger cases available, so i am sure that the 700w model will be fine for your needs.
