OCZ NIA Brain Mouse

Agreed, lack of understanding how the device works makes us place silly answers. If this device works on pulses of small electrical energy then using muscles for sneezing and eating might cause false positives? Muscles gives off small amounts of electrical energy... A sneeze uses quite a few muscles, as does eating...

Sorry the last statement was sarcasm :(

Also, if you eat or sneeze, how does that effect it?

You end up shooting your teammate in the face and getting banned from the server.

But its cool, you're the owner of the headband of power (+2).

I'd consider getting one. But it works on muscle movement doesn't it, so after 6 months use I bet I'll have facial muscles that resemble steel cables under my forehead....which isnt cool.

Doesn't use muscles, it tracks electrical nerve impulses in the brain. Its just a glorified way of clicking buttons for 80+ pounds instead of using the buttons on your mouse.

Imagine one of these with a decent eye tracking device for some proper hands free gaming, though I would bet simply looking at your target would take away a lot of the skill involved and if everyone had one it would only increase the needed reflex times to a higher level and lag/latency will be a bigger problem.

I have afriend who checked it out at GDC in SF not too long ago. It works, but it really monitors muscle movement, i.e like frowning. So it isn't like using telepathy or reading your mind.

I would think that for extended play this would start to be painful, try to grin for 5 minutes its going to start to ache.

Another thing, is this truly faster than the old key and mouse config?

I think this is a gimmick like the Philips AmbiX....whatever

however check what could be the real deal => http://www.emotiv.com/, seems more convincing than OCZ NIA

it says it reads 5 brain waves on many reviews and only a couple of muscle movements such as the eye or neck for yaw.

none of the vids on youtube seemed like people were playing with facial expressions..

if you were moving muscles after all, there's really not much differnce in playing with mouse and keyboard is there./
