Looks as though my OCZ 700w PSU has taken out 2 motherboards and 2 GFX cards
just going through the second RMA.

Ive heard a few stories on these boards recently about OCZ PSU's just thought i would add my experience.

ordered components for new build on the 25th September £800
since then Ive had 2 weeks of a working system thanks to the PSU the rest of the time has been RMA or waiting for stock.

The PSU is being sent back to OCZ so no doubt that we be another month.

Anyone else had a bad experience with OCZ.

ad the same problem with a corsair 1200watt took out no parts but just sent the second one back 1 day after getting it.

not happy with them tbh order one of the new xfx ones to replace it and will sell the corsair once i get a working ne to make it not cost me as much

its a OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w Silent SLI Certified no longer in stock :)

its caused me loads of bother

just before i sent the PSU back with the second RMA i thought i would test it for longer on my old rig because i wanted to avoid charges if it wasn't the problem as it hadn't gone in dramatic fashion.
and after 2 hours of use i switched the pc off and on and it fried the gigabyte lan chip on startup. I had to remove the burnt chip form my old motherboard in order to get my old system to boot.
ive lost the use of my PCI slots though. so i cant use my delta 66 sound card. my old system in 7 years old never had a single issue.

from what i have read, the new series of psu's (ZS, ZX) are FAR superior than their old series (modxstream, gamerxstream or whatever), perhaps they will give you one of the new ones with the RMA :)
