OCZ PC4800 on nForce2

Hi,

I have recently brought a shuttle and was wondering if I could put my OCZ PC4800 RAM in it.

I have heard that some ram chips dont work with the nForce2 chipset and was wondering if these would be ok in there?

nForce2 runs on the Socket A platform.

I had an SN45GV3 shuttle and ran some double sided Corsair XL TCCD modules without any problems. The OCZ kit appears to be TCCD/TCC5 which should be compatible with the platform. I'd personally try the memory with the Shuttle anyway and run memtest and other stability testing tools as the worst case scenario would be a failed POST. I would probably install the operating system with RAM that i know would work though.

ah thought that, then mixed up the msi neo 2, and the nf2, nvm..
