OCZ Platinum AM3 ?

I think its because the memory runs to speed at the lower voltage (1.65v) that AM3 boards prefer.

Actually am3 doesn't mind ram that runs at higher volts, it is the x58 intel boards that need lower ram voltages as the cpus don't like to run at over 1.65v memory voltage.

I'm guessing it's a combination of lower voltages and the fact that they are dual channel kits rather than triple channel for the x58.

Still waiting for them to stock the 1600mhz 7-7-7-20 AM3 kits.

The 1333mhz 7-7-7-20 kits are perfect for gaming rigs though as you wont see an increase in FPS with 1600mhz kits, already tested it with some OCZ Blades running at 1600mhz 7-7-7-20. ;)
