OCZ Platinum and Gold XTC, difference?

I will buy a 2Gb kit of OCZ but can't decide between PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum and PC3200 Dual Channel Gold GX XTC, both are the same price.

Are they basically the same or does the Platinum memory actually use different memorychips to allow lower timings? (2-3-2-5 vs 2-3-3-8)

or shop around and get the platinum XTC

I know, but as I don't live in the UK I found local places and the Platinum XTC is more expensive and both sets are already stretching the budget

i saw that ram but it wasnt clear why it is better than the standard platinum? Same timings.

I found PC4000 Platinum XTC but that was more expensive as it uses better IC's that can run tighter tmings at 250Mhz like 3-3-2-5 instead of 3-4-4-8
