OCZ Reaper HPC Edition DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066mhz Dual Channel probs

Hi

I bought the above memory a while back and it posts on my Asus P5K Premium mobo as 800mhz...... How can I get it to run at 1066?

Hi mate, not sure if this will help as I have a different motherboard to you, but I have the same ram. I could never get it to run faster than 800 untill one day I tried it in the different coloured socket. On my MB I had two sets of differently coloured sockets for ram - using the ither socket made it work perfectly.

Set the voltage to 2.1v and the memory speed to 1066Mhz in the BIOS mate. Timmings SPD

On my P5Q theres a setting that lets you select memory speed in the overclocking section. Depending on what FSB youre running at depends what speeds it will show for the RAM
