OCZ Reaper X & G Skills On same Board

Right as I understand it you cant fit 4 Reaper X's on a board as the heatsinks touch. So can I stagger the Reaper X's with the G Skills 2gb sticks

So its like

Reaper GSkills Reaper Gskills

Would that make them fit? lol

staggering will work. the reapers should fit 4 the reaperX though i dunno them touching shouldnt be a problem unless they tuch a lot. could posibly deform the heatpipe contact if theres a lot of force. some mobos have different spacing on the ram slots also. worth considering

Just a thought..if you look at the picture of the reaperX closely, you will notice the heatsink is at an angle. so if you just imagine 2 of em next to each other, they wont touch.

without a definate answer I think ill wimp out and get the gskills, its cheaper and will definately work

I have some Reaper X modules. They do not fit in slots that are next to each other and the OCZ website states this. I had to remove the heatsinks in order to get the RAM to fit into my system, as not only did the heatsinks foul each other, they also fouled my TRUE 120.

I am not 100% sure whether Reaper X I G.Skill would work either, as the heatspreaders on the Reaper X modules are very thick. Going just for the G.Skills is a much better choice, as they are cheaper and run cool.

Ordered 2 lots of G Skills for a bargain price of just under 200quid so im happy
