The 240 looks like the sweet spot in that lineup, being only about 60% increase in price over the 120, but 100% more capacity....Still big bucks though.

They are a little expensive yes however when you look at the 240GB its only around £100 more expensive than the 240GB Vertex 3 making them very good value for money for the performance you get

^^This. I bought my mk1 120GB Revo (green sticker) and have written the review against this product on the products page. All that hysteria about TRIM and garbage collection not working was utter non-sense - mine still benches the same as when I bought it and I utterly abused it. This is the BEST computer product I've ever bought, and I build around 12 PC's every month on average and have done since 1995! Before this I bought iRAM if anyone remembers that old dinosaur, and that convinced me that SSD was the future.

I will place my order for my new Revo once my clients have settled their bill this month, Revo mk2 was a flop IMO due to the false rumours about Revo mk1, but guys these thing ROCK.. the new 120GB model is exactly twice as fast as my mk1 and you don't have any of the problems associated with SATA connections, untidy power cables etc. I should work for OCZ with all the hype I keep spreading but that's because they are that good. Can't wait for Augusts' accounts to close this month.. Revo3 here we come

Bicepo has just had a play with one of these for a build we are developing and here are some results from the 240GB standard Rev3 and the results are pretty immense! Its not often a manufacturer is bang on with its quotes but OCZ have delivered here beautifully

Does the RAID controller have its own POST, which increases overall boot time?

Some absolutely great numbers there, though to be fair, it's a lot of money extra on top of two Vertex 3 drives when putting two in RAID 0 gives the same result.

Looks pretty good and would love to get one, although after reading reviews on a big US computer site it seems the normal (not X2) may still have some teething issues.

A list of boards that have known issues, worth checking before ordering.

It seems to be a faff installing windows for some people and one chap still booting in 1min 31s although all he says is look on the OCZ forums for the reason why, I haven't checked myself.

I'd also be curious to know what the true load time is including POST.
