Hi, i had an OCZ GameXStream 700w psu die after a short while and sent it back to ocuk to deal with. This was received by ocuk on 21/09 so thats 7 weeks ago.
I know OCZ can take a while to deal with these things but is this not a bit long to wait? i've left a webnote today and have been told ocuk will look into it - just wondering is this common to take so long?

O dear that's not what i wanted to hear :( im stuck with an old hiper 525w just now and it's struggling i feel.

Same PSU died on me a few days after I installed it, sent off an RMA to OcUK and got a resonse that I should deal directly with OCZ, so I got an RMA from them no problem.

My problems did start when I realised I had to send the unit off to Holland, so off I pops down to the post office and plonk it on the scales, 25 quid postage he tells me.

bummer

You might want to bring your complain to their support forum:
http://www.bleedinedgesupport.com/ocz/forum/index.php

They are usually more responsive on there ;)
Good stuff! i left a message there a few hours ago and already have a reply saying "This is definitely not right, please send me an email so we can straighten this out." so looks like it might be sorted soon - thanks for that.

ocz always been grt that way when u deal with them direct, with any faulty parts, tbh 12 weeks is a joke for ANY retailer, makers of product ect to leave u w8 that long

Well i've spoken via email to a guy from ocz who seemed a bit annoyed that i was having this problem and seemed concerned, he said he had spoken to the guys in rma and "had no record of anything from them (ocuk) that would indicate they have even sent your PSU to us yet" not sure whats going on there - anyway the guy was really helpful and said they will try and get a replacement to me ASAP and i may even have it for Tuesday!!
And to think i sat here without the thing for 7 weeks  , anyway fast reponse from ocz and i'm really happy with that.

Best thing to do with components that have manufacturer warranties is to send them to the manufacturer. I'm RMA'd things with OCZ twice now (third time should be this week  ) and they take about 2 weeks from me sending it it recieving my replacement.
