The new 400 Watt StealthXStream Power Supply offers a sufficient source of power for mainstream gaming PCs. The 400W edition features the same understated look as its predecessors with a sleek black case and unlit fan for the value-conscious consumer seeking effective, quiet performance. Ideal for gamers and system builders who prefer a straight-forward, value-mined PSU, the StealthXStream focuses on performance, quality, and quiet operation. The 400W configuration provides the necessary power for mainstream gaming systems and desktop computing setups, ensuring you won't pay extra for a higher wattage unit that a mainstream system does not require. Even at peak loads the 400W StealthXStream remains virtually silent and excludes flashy LEDs, ensuring the power supply is not seen or heard.

The StealthXStream is kept supremely cool with a large 140mm fan and features a standard ATX power supply form factor to accommodate virtually all computer towers. With a sustained output of 400W the StealthXStream is well-suited for and driving today's midrange systems. 1x 6+2pin? meh... I'd rather these HDDs had more PCI-e connectors, rather than me having to use other methods. This PSU would easily power a 5850 in a microATX build in a HTPC, BOINC box or gaming rig.

One thing I found hilarious with my XFX 5850s is that the instruction book says NOT to use molex to 6/8-pin adaptors, and then they go stick a couple in the box for good measure.

would this power a 5750/5770?

All depends what it is paired with. I would happily use this for a 5770, an i5 at stock, 4GB RAM, couple of hard disks and a DVD drive. Much more than that and I would spend a little more.

Well, i'm running a 4890 and a 955 both heavily overclocked, two HDD's, and a DVD Drive on a 450w Corsair. At load my system only approaches around 350w.

If you kept the 5770 and 955 at stock you'd be fine.

Would this run my computer, the current PSU is a EZcool 500W that was in the case when I bought it, I never got round to replaceing it but it has been fine for over 2 years until today when the fan stopped, I have replaced the fan with a "noisy fan" ! to keep me running.
The computer specs are
Asus P5N32-E SLI nVidia 680I Socket 775
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.33GHz (1333FSB)
320GB Serial ATA II-300 16MB Samsung SpinPoint T166
Corsair 4GB Kit DDR2 800MHz
Asus GeForce 8800GT 512MB ( one only )
& 2 x 120mm Sharkoon cooling fans
Please Note, the ASUS mobo book says I should use a 500W.... or 600W if 2 graphics cards are fitted
