Interesting. Particularly with you saying "Usable SSD capacity up to 64GB on 128GB Model"

So does it just work as a cache with your existing drives, or is it possible for a user to select applications/files to go on the SSD (eg, entire OS)?

And are OCZ likely to offer the software seperatly for users of their other SSD models?

The software is license specific to the drive so it wont be on offer for other users. This is a unique product that works in a similar way to how intels Z68 chaching feature works but is more efficient and offers plenty of performance for the money if you was to couple this with a 2 or 3TB 7200rpm HDD.

I can certainly see the advantages, and not requiring a Z68 board means it's available to a wide range of hardware setups, and also can be moved along with future upgrades so you're not tied into one manufacturers technology, which is great.
Very, very interesting technology.

So would you need to do a full OS reinstall or would be able to just add the drive to an existing build install the Synapse software run it a few times and it will move software thats used the most to the SSD?

Looks like the DataPlex software is already on the 1TB OCZ RevoDrive Hybrid pcie cards.
And now available for stand alone high cashe SSD's.

reading around it's the second option sypher.
But you could load the other half of the SSD with your OS so more cashe is available for the rest of your programmes.

I can see a downside (unless it has exceptions)
On a home pc the cashe will be filled with your kids favourate games within a week.
