im running the system in my sig on a artic cooler 64 and after reading many reviews i decided to buy the ocz vendetta 2, now it should be arriving in the post early next week.

the only problem is everyone does the reviews on intel chips, not on amd

and after already ordering it i found a review saying that you have to move your ram as it gets in the way.

I was wondering has anyone ran the zendetta either on a am2 or a 939 and what they did to get around the problem.

Thanks

I had a freezer and now a vendetta 2 ( on Intel ) and found no problems , the vendetta,s fins start higher up than the freezers so i assume if your freezer is ok the vendetta should be.

but my old freezer was placed so the width was running parallel to the ram, according to the review the width has to be 90c to the ram.

imagine if u had to turn your cooler 90c, u said its fins start higher up, would it still clear your ram?

I run it on a c2d (not much help i know) and its miles away:

My rig's in bits at the mo, so I was able to grab my V2 and measure it up against my old s939 board (which still has 4x sticks of RAM installed). Bearing in mind I use mine in a s775, so the push pins were still hanging off the edges (making it hard to actually seat the cooler to know 100% for sure)...

I found that (as above, depending on how it actually "sits" on the socket/CPU when installed) you're either (1) about 2 inches to spare before the RAM starts, or (2) the RAM slot closest to the CPU socket MAY need to remain empty. It depends how far over the V2 would actually sit when installed.

That was on a MicroATX board too, so I can safely say it'll fit one way or another provided you face it blowing front to back in the case (which is how it should be installed anyway). Worst case scenario, you need to fit it blowing bottom to top, and would need to leave that last RAM slot empty (i.e. run 2 sticks of RAM in dual channel, not 4 sticks).
