If it's for the rig in your signature you aren't going to see anything like the maximum speeds.
You only have SATA 2 so the maximum speed you can get is ~280MB/s.
You still get the benefits such as near instantaneous access times, you just won't see the maximum headline speeds.

No problem then.
Just make sure to connect whatever you get to an Intel SATA 3 port and not any other add on SATA 3 controllers the motherboard may have.
Yeh read about that, using intel controllers or something. Strange thing tho, only 6 of the 10 sata are on the intel controller the other 4 are on some other 3rd party one which is abit annoying.
Anyways im hoping the Asrock fatal1ty z68 board come back into stock.
I got a 256 gig m4 and am glad I made the purchase. wasnt that pricey and with 256 I dont have to worry about what files on the drive just throw the whole C drive on there and be done with it ...

Intel only support 6 SATA ports with the Z68 chipset (four SATA 2 and two SATA 3).
Anything beyond that has to come from a third party controller.
