 I am in the process of building a new machine and have decided that the E6600 is my choice of CPU. I'm undecided on the MB but I can't decide between the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 or the OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC ???

Both get good reviews and they are both on offer so which is it to be!?

Anyone use either and can recommend?

I would say the ocz.
I had the geil before but it arrived with memtest errors, and many other people seemed to be having problems with later batches. They didnt clock very well either never got them past 450mhz, but this could be due to the memtest errors.

I got rid of the geil and bought the OCZ after, which has been working fine without any problems so far, + they look really nice.

i have 2 pc's with the geil in and both are running over 900 mhz each one on a amd x2 and the other on a e6300 and they have never missed a beat so far.

Have run a 2GB Geil PC6400C4 ULL kit for a few months, never had any issues with it, decent bit of hardware for the price. :)

Cheers for the replies, have gone for the Ocz which should arrive tomorrow so will see how it goes! (the £5 cheaper part won it for me!)
