Hey guys,

Ive just baught a OCZ ZS SERIES 650w power supply, as a replacement. Ive placed it into my computer build and plugged all the connections to the motherboard . When turning my computer on nothing seems to happen, no power up through to the power supply (fan doesnt spin, no life, as if it was turned off) whatsoever. Is this a dodgy power supply?.. or is there any soultion to solve it?.

many thanks:confused::confused:

Is it on at the wall socket?

Is the fuse in the kettle lead ok?

Is there a on/off switch on the PSU?

yes its on at the wallsocket, not checked the fuse, but i tried my older kettle lead and it still doesnt work and yes there is a on/off switch.

and yes there is a on/off switch.

I assume it's switched on then?

Try turning it off. It's not entirely unknown for the switch to be connected the wrong way.

And are you sure the connection from the power switch on the case is correctly fitted to the header on the motherboard?

Can you GOOGLE the "PSU paper clip trick"

+1 jump the green and a ground to see weather it powers on, otherwise it may seem you have another dud, btw if its not powering on hook it up to a dvd drive as some psu's (even modern ones) wont power on without a small load)
