Wow, I just picked up this weird Cube game called 'Odama' put simply it's a pinball/stratagy hybrid set in medievil Japan (think samurai age) the game is set out just like pinball table however it doubles up as a battlefield! the controls are fairly simple L+R move the pinball flippers and the control stick 'tilts' the table. However in addition to this you have to order your men to move and push towards the enemy this is all done through the Gamecube mic by shouting things i.e. "push foward" or "company halt" etc this is the best bit about the game as the voice recognition is so good, the orders dont even have to be exact for example instead of saying 'push foward' you could say 'press foward' this in itself makes it feel as if your working hard trying to push the enemy back, in addition to this you have to mantain your troops morale this can be done two ways: 1. pressing the A button fires a rice ball into your troops giving them food, supplies or 2. if you have a pair of donky konga bongo's grab a freind and plug the bongos into the second controller port and they can drum to raise morale!
The objective is to get the 'bell crew' ( a bunch of guys carring a giant bell!) to the enemy gates whilst protecing them and taking as many of your soilders to the gates with them, well I've been playing for a little while and its ssoooo addictive I was suprised how well this worked as when I heard about the concept I could not see it working TBH. deffo worth a look for those of you looking for somthing new
