Hey all

Over the last few weeks, I have had this really annoying problem....

You know when you use the generic Pnp drivers on a fresh install you get a blurrey section on the screen - usually down the centre...

Well I cant get rid of this blurreyness (sp? lol) using any drivers for my 8800GT. Tried from 169.09 to 169.28 beta, all with the same effect... still have a blurrey 2d screen. It does not happen when gaming, only in 2d mode basically.

Its actually hurting my eyes now, as i read a lot on the pc, and its making my eyes stain a hell of a lot.

Vista (64) never did this before November.

I havetried the monitor on an XP rig and its perfect, and there are no drivers for the monitor. Its Branded "CIBOX" and is a cheapo 17" tft screen.

Rig is

E2160 3ghz
2x 1gb ddr2 5300 ram
Abit Ab9 Pro
8800 GT MSI oc version
2x 250gb WD cavairs

Any suggestions? Might try removing a couple of graphial based vista updates to see if i can rectify it.

Is Vista set to run in your TFT's native resolution?
Most TFT's are only designed to run in one resolution - When they run in anything smaller/bigger they have to scale the image to fit the screen. The result of this is poor image quality and sometimes a blurry line or patch on the screen.

hmmm will look into that when i get back from work. Cheers for the suggestion

As far as im aware 1280 x 1024 was already set in vista.. i'll investigate
