specs in signature.
I dont have the parts to be pulling this out to test if x fixes z, however i do have a 650 watt corsair TX.
So today i was just browsing the net and looking at elite and dangerous vids etc when the mouse started to slow down like the hole system was working like a trojan, it then proceeded to freeze up and i had to hard reset the machine.
Now when i tried to boot the machine again i got spinning h100i fans and the light on the heat sink pulsing but no boot of any kind. Unplugged the psu and plugged in again and tried again and this time it booted into bios eventually, very slow.
I turned the overclock down from 4.5ghz (which has been fine) to 4.2ghz and rebooted and again the machine refused to do anything at all no power, so again i unplugged the machine and tried again and this time it booted up as normal.
Ive taken a stick of ram out and put it back in and no change it seems, tried the corsair psu and again wouldnt boot just spinning h100i fans but as with the other psu when it wouldnt boot none of the case fans would work either.
Eventually with the machine all booted up and into windows i been using for about 3 hours and all of a sudden its just done something very similar in that i couldnt start firefox or hardware monitor they started to start but was taking forever to load and then i couldnt do hardly any thing and had to hard reset.
Im now typing this on said machine with just firefox opened by me and it seems ok for now again.
First instincts were psu or ram, would the corsair 650 watt tx be enough to power what i have ? i would have thought so. Could it be the mobo playing up again? could it be faulty ram that is just intermittent (unlikely).
This then leads me onto my hdd drives and windows is on a samsung 840 ssd and in magician looks absolutely fine?
posting on here for ideas and to get things straight in my head. Always seems easier diagnosing others pcs than your own for some odd reason.
Going to run everything at stock (cpu ocd thats all) and see if it improves any.
Thanks for looking.
PS: i have run malwarebytes and combofix
