Odd blurring text in Windows.

Hey there,

Just installed a new GFX card into my system - GF 7800GT - and have noticed ever since day one, some rather odd and annoying behaviour.

My full spec is : Antec 480W PSU, AMD 4000+ San Diego, 2GB RAM, Viewsonic vx912 TFT monitor........

Whilst everything is at stock speeds the text in Windows XP seems to lose focus briefly every few seconds. I didn't notice it much at first as it's very, very slight. But now, after some extensive use over the weekend, it's started to really, really annoy me and irritate my eyes immensely.

As I said, it's very slight - it's almost as if the black text becomes less dark for a few seconds, or as I said, less focussed - less AA - if that makes sense?

This occurs at standard speeds as well as whilst the system is being overclocked.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening please?

And any ideas as to a cure?

Many thanks for all of your help in advance :)

I get this problem if I run either of my Samsung TFT monitors at 60Hz. If I set the refresh to 70 or 72 Hz, it cures it.

Have you installed the drivers for your monitor (usually a .inf file from the manufacturer's website).?

I'm still suffering with this problem, and have tried almost everything suggested so far, including using different drivers......

Could it be a dodgy card?

Have you tried using another, better quality, DVI cable. Or even trying a Dsub cable?

Could be a signal loss problem between your card and the monitor.
