Odd boot issue after reaching 4.8 GHZ (2600k)

Been overclocking my 2600k to 4.8Ghz recently.

The OC itself runs stably with no issues for 8+ hours on end and haven't experienced any BSOD's or other OC related issues. Currently running at 1.42v IIRC with Ram @ 1600Mhz (1.5v)

I started my computer this morning and it was freezing at the windows load screen. Tried restarting a few times and had no luck.
I tried a Windows Repair and experienced a freeze when it was loading the recovery usb.

So went to BIOS and dropped down to my 4.2 GHz profile and loaded up into windows first time.

So right now I'm trying to pin point what setting I need to focus on to get boot stability on my 4.8Ghz profile.

The odd thing about all this is:

If I start the computer on my 4.2Ghz profile and let it warm up for a while -> Reboot & switch to 4.8 Ghz profile it loads up first time and it's business as usual?!

Seems to just have difficulties booting with 4.8 Ghz first time after it's been sitting 'cold' for a while.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what could be the issue?

Sounds like it's degraded rather quickly at 4.8Ghz. Put it back a couple of hundred mhz and be happy with that.

I had an FX8150 that did 4.9Ghz for a day or two and then wouldn't boot. Put it back to 4.8Ghz, lasted another week or two and ended up at a stable 4.5Ghz till switching to 6350 which now sits at 5Ghz. For how long I don't know.

Could be, back in the day I was running 5.2 on this baby. Guess it took it's toll. Will switch to 4.5/6 Mhz as that seems to be the cut off point these days before issues appear.
