Been using Vista 64 now since its release and its been ok most of the time, but i've always been plaqued by this really annoying internet connectivity issue. Basically im on a 20Mbit cable connection which caps out at 2.3Mb/s which is great unfortunately for some reason I rarely get chance to see those speeds.
Mainly because when ever my connection reaches around 500-700k/s my ability to browse normal pages drops to zero as every page gets stuck at the "looking up" stage and fails. Even when I am the only person on the network this happens. I have tried re-installing Vista several times, also tried making sure nothing else is accessing the network but it still happens. I am almost positive I am not getting capped by Virgin media as my upload bandwidth rarely reaches 50% of its max (60k/s or so).
Anyone know why this could be happening or is it just another one of vista's numerous flaws.
