odd CS:S reg / crouch problem

Hey,

Just came back from a bit of a gaming break - hadn't touched my PC since December and in the past week or so have moved back home and set it up so have started playing CS again.

I've noticed a weird glitch that i'd never encountered before in my years of playing - the best exmple i can give is on D2;

If i'm CT, and awping from the back of B into the tunnels, there has been numerous occasions in the past few days where i miss a shot, duck to reload behind the bricks, and yet somehow get shot in the head after going into crouched mode.

That is to say, i'm being killed by a headshot when my character is totally invisible to any T's...

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Thanks for the replies - assumed it was a new thing as i had never encountered it before. Suppose i'll just have to ensure i hit people first time from now on...

Also, didn't want to create another thread about it, so will put in in here:


Since i've been playing again, i'm getting graphic errors pretty much every time i play. Random textures in the wrong places over various maps, and some weapons (primarily the awp and deagle) look like they have swords sticking out of them... Also sometimes get triangles appearing on the screen that go from the gun to the crosshair which change appearance depending on the angle between my view and the floor - will try to put some screenies on later. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

I've never added any new gun skins, i've done a full CS/Steam reinstall, i've updated my video card drivers to the latest version, and also tried rolling them back to the version i used when everything was fine (have gone back to the latest now), and i'm using a radeon x1900.

have 2Gb ram, e6600 etc, so i should be able to play just fine...


Any help is appreciated.
