Got a strange problem with a Dell Latitude D630 laptop running XP SP3 and using wireless on my home network. It connects to the network fine, gets an IP address ok, signal strength is excellent but then can't do anything else. A tracert to the router just times out, so can't get on to the net or anything. Other PC I've got works fine with DHCP and tracert shows 1 hop to the router. The laptop also works just fine with a hardwired connection to the router. Wii and Xbox connect with no problems over wireless - it's a Thomson Bebox btw. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Take it you cant ping the router either? I would have said its spyware but as you can use the wired connection then maybe not. Id suggest looking for new drivers for your network adaptor.

I guess there's no MAC address filtering due to the Allow New Devices setting?

Broadcast Network Name: Yes
Allow New Devices: New stations are allowed (automatically)
Security Mode: WPA-PSK
WPA-PSK Preshared Key: *****
WPA-PSK Encryption: TKIP+AES
WPA-PSK Version: WPA+WPA2
