Girl at work has a 1.2 52 play Clio and she was complaining about a light coming on in her car. Low and behold it is the check engine light. Apparently it has been coming on when she has kept high speed (~70mph) for a few minutes, and it then stays on for a day after. Then it goes back off until she does more constant high speed driving, to which it comes back on.
This really confused me, all the fluid levels check out fine on it as that is all I could think about doing at first. Is there a way to look up a fault code at all on them without having to buy a fault code reader? Does anyone have any clues what it could be?

Which isn't really what is needed, was wanting to sort out the problem without the expense of a garage being involved.
