Please can you help

Just given my pc a clean , took out sound card + graphics card . Put all back together then turned pc back on and had this error

CMOS-CHECKSUM ERROR - DEFAULTS LOADED

I pressed F1 to contionue

Windows loaded as normal , checked pc then i found that the clock was showing 0.00 , reset clock then reboot as normal then booted as normal back to desktop , now all is working as normal

Why did this happen ? anybody with a answer ?

Motherboard battery may be running low, is your computer rarely turned off at the mains (even if switched off at the case)?

I just shutdown then that is , i never turn off from the psu switch or mains switch , i will from now , so its not a major problem with the computer ? and can i get a replacement battery ?

What i have also notice is when you right click with the mouse and you go into Display Properties , 2nd drop down and change the color scheme to silver , the screen goes black & and white for around 10 seconds maybe less then turns the color scheme to silver , is thie normal ?
