Odd GFX Temp Reading

Any one got a clue where this Temp reading is coming from its only been there since i updated speedfan to tbhe latest version.

The 54C is my GPU temp acording to Nvidia control Panel so i dont know where the 144c is coming from.

GFX card is a Nvidia 7600gt i did remove and clean up the HSF and bridge chip HS and re apply some goop (non branded thermal goop) am still running the factory fit hsf combo and bridge cooler.

I have sourced a new cooler from the mm but have been unable to get a new cooler for the bridge chip.

But my question is what reading is it?

Have Upgraded the Fan to a Zalman VF700-Cu and gou temps have droped by 10c but the bridge chip temp is still off the chart 200c+ some times it will drop down to 45-55c but wont stay there for long. Just need to find a cooler for the bridge chip i think.

Any opne got any ideas?

Has it even occured to you that speedfan has got it wrong??? My cpu temp was -50 odd on speedfan and my graphics card was about 5 degrees!!

I did wonder but the bridge chip heatsink does get extreamly hot. What elce would detect all the temps i can get with speedfan? specificaly the gfx temp?

Try GPUZ, GPUZ does however read the PCB temp of my card as 190C so maybe you shouldn't worry!
