Odd iD Mobile issue with mum's Samsung J7 2017

This started a couple of months ago. Locally (i.e Burton-on-Trent) her phone won't make or receive voice calls. 4G data works, and SMS works. But if I ring her it just rings and rings until voicemail kicks in, and trying to ring from her phone doesn't do anything - the phone just sits there saying that it's calling but not making any noise until eventually it just goes back to the contacts list. It works up in Bury at my gran's place, and it worked fine roaming in France.

We've tried a replacement SIM from iD, which hasn't changed anything. I've looked over the phone settings and can't see anything obvious that would fix it. Call over WiFi doesn't appear to be an option on this phone. If anyone has any bright ideas I'd be very grateful!
 
Sounds like a lack of VoLTE and no 3G to fall back to?
Can you check the postcodes on the three coverage checker. I'm wondering if in the one location 3 has turned off their 3G but not the other?

Solutions are either change network or preferably use a phone that supports VoLTE.
