As you can see from the picture, I've got an overlap on the screen and i'm not sure what's causing it.

You can also see from the second image, that halfway down the screen, the words overlap each other.

I have the latest drivers, i also have a new DP cable. I don't want to use HDMI as i'll lose 144Hz.

Is this likely to be a Windows issue or monitor related?

Also, it doesn't happen all the time, i could restart and it'll be gone but then it'll be back again when i next boot up.

One more thing, sometimes Windows will stay on a black screen when booting up for around 6-7 seconds and then the desktop will show.

I think I remember this was an issue with the firmware, I had it when I first had one of these monitors. It has to be sent back to be updated.

Hmm it's only a week old, surely it can't be the same stock from when they first came out.

I'll see if i can update the firmware myself.

I dont know maybe you got an older one somehow, a refurbished return or something. I'm pretty sure its impossible to update it yourself.

It's an bug that, aside from happening to me (same monitor), it happens to a friend of mine too, who has a different monitor. Google searches go back to at least 2016. It happens when the monitor is forced to change its state, that can be when you alt+tab from a game, wake the system from sleep etc. To get rid of it, you can just quickly turn the monitor on and off. Equally, picking a different resolution from the desktop, then clicking revert to go back to your resolution works too.

As for its origin, I can only assume it's either Windows 10 or Nvidia driver related, as those are the only common variables. Not much to go on, I know.
