Odd Laptop screen Problem

Hey guys,

My mums laptop here has an odd screen problem - there is a black band about 1 inch running from top to bottom (ie what its showing is too narrow). On a normal screen i know there are controls to resize the screen and everything but I can't find anything that works. Any Tips?

Its a Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100

Are there not any screen resize keys?
Im sure there are on my laptop(different model to yours tho)

I have to hold the Function key(fn) and then can resize the screen using two keyboard keys(three function number keys)

A new display driver (from Toshiba) did the trick. Cheers though!
