Odd logitech Mouse issue

I'm using a G5 logitech mouse with the latest driver on windows 7 64bit.
What seems to happen randomly when playing a game is it will drop in sensitivity like all the settings have been dropped or scrolled down to low.
I have to alt tab out the game where it has always changed the report rate setting from 1000 down to 500.
Even if I leave it at 500 it still exhibits this odd behaviour. I have to just click the apply button again in the logitech drivers and everything is back to normal.
It's almost like something is interfering with the drivers.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers and tried another mouse (another G5), but it still happens.
It's also totally random. Sometimes i can play for 2 hours fine other times it's happening every 15-20 mins.
Anyone with any ideas?

I have just got rid of my Win7 RC and installed home premium, I had to go through all the Logitec support etc and the advice on the site seems to imply that its the users fault for accidently hitting the sensisitivity buttons!

I had that issue on the RC but i havent gamed enough since to know if installing setpoint480 has cured it!

If all else fails and adjustment is not a big issue, set all 3 DPI's to the closest settings available to each other

Tried this. Thanks for the suggestion, but it's still buggers up.
Just now I've had the same problem but just while in the desktop.
I wasn't doing anything but moving the mouse around.
I've dropped the poll rate down and it still does it.
I'm convinced this is something on a software level, but i'm running out
of patience with it now. Might have to consider moving on from Logitec and
trying out a razor mouse.
Not much more i can do really, tried different usb ports, different mouse, reinstall of drivers and everything else suggested in the thread:confused:

Ah smeg i have the same mouse though i don't have win7 64bit installed as of yet :( hope i don't get the same issue
