Odd mouse issues, STOP DOUBLE CLICKING!

I've tried multiple mouses now and they all do it! - For example opening up a tab and it opens up multiple ones, highlight a piece of text on a blog and instead it drags the text across, try to drag a crop box over a picture in screenshot and the crop box vanishes as if I'd double clicked. Another annoyance going to click a bookmark and because of the double click issue opens up a page underneath the bookmark.

I've tried dropping the double click sensitivity to low and it's still doing it :/
 
Are these mice old? If so, you likely have knackered mouse switches. To remedy this, download double click fix http://www.experienceit.pl/download

If the mice aren't old, try using a different USB port.

If this doesn't fix the problem, immediately set your PC on fire.
 
If the left click does it but the right click doesn't - worn switches. Cheap fix if you have the time and patience to replace. Alternatively a bit of electrical contact cleaner and lube will buy some more time
 
Thanks guys, just wondered why both mouses were doing it!

Oh well on the hunt for a new mouse I guess for my secondary pc :D
