Odd network behaviour.

I'm having a strange issue with my home network, I'm on sky fibre using there hub occasionally my pc which is connected via powerline, will lose connection to the internet, chrome will say no internet connection, however if I use my phone or tablet they will both connect without an issue. I am running windows 8 pro 64 bit.

Does anyone have an idea as to why my desktop is dropping connection but my mobile devices are not? I have occasionally tried the ipconfig release renw commands but am not certain they made a difference.

Remove the powerline from the equation and see what happens.

It's very likely to be the power line. It's a dirty way to send data

Yeah it seems to happen with powerline and wireless but not through direct cat 5, at least during the period I had the cable connected. It was happening before I upgraded to fibre to the bt engineer that came out said that when he checked the cabinet it was pretty overcrowded and our pair had been knocked off its connector a little so I thought that might have happened again.
