Odd one

A new build per my sig and the SSD and HDD are in the SATA ports 1 & 2 and work fine.
However the optic drive doesn't appear at all unless it's in the secondary grey ports with the Marvell controller.

Problem with the mobo ? Or some sort of driver issue ?

SATA ports 1 and 2 are 'SATA3' whereas your optical drive is only 'SATA' or 'SATA2' and works in the older compatible ports?

I think they're all supposed to be backwards compatible, but you always find strange little quirks like this.

BIOS update might have a fix for it?
