Hi!

Can anyone please help me?

I recently got slightly faster internet, ~19mbps. My old powerline (Netgear HDX101) only managed to get ~13mbps from it so I got some new powerlines:

Devolo dLAN powerline 650 Plus (Gigabit Ethernet) Starter Kit.

These allow me the full download speed of 19mbps. However, when playing Battlefield 4, my pings have gone to 25-30 (from 12-15) and I get disconnected a lot.

When pinging the router from cmd.exe, pings are 1ms. When I'm downloading on Steam, these rise to 3-5ms.

My old powerlines ping at 1-5ms with some large spikes, but gives me no problems in playing battlefield 4 at 13-15ms with no spikes. But since I can't get full internet speeds with these I'm not happy.

They are in exactly the same sockets, and I have extensions coming from the socket on the powerline plug like it says to.

Why do they increase my pings by so much considering they ping router at 1-3ms the same as my old ones?

Will a different make/model be better or have the same results?

Run a cable?
