Hi all getting a very odd issue...

Basically when I turn on my PC the fans go fast for a few seconds and then I hear a beep this is normal and happened since I had the PC.

But now the odd part, randomly this exact thing happens wether the PC is on or off?? So I can be browsing web playing a game etc and suddenly my fans speed up and I hear the beep.

Or my PC can be completely shut down and turned off and at random times I'll hear the fans kick in a couple of seconds and a beep then the PC turns back off.

Any ideas what on earth could after 3 years of owning the PC be causing this?

No recent upgrades here is spec:

Asus P8p67 pro motherboard
MSI 660ti
16gb OCZ Vengence
2x Samsung 830 256gb
Asus DGX soundcard

Thanks
Mark

I reckon it's either the motherboard or the RAM. Look it up in the motherboard manual. If that doesn't help then try the PC with one stick of RAM (try both sticks) (If this works then try getting some new RAM). If that doesn't work, try it without the graphics card (if this works then you might need a bios re-flash or a new motherboard). If all of this fails then you'll have to try a new motherboard.

If its been running for over 3 years, I might be a software problem imo. A program might have updated and might have caused a problem. It might even be something like a dusty component causing something to over heat, speeding up the fans, then rebooting. Not really sure so don't take this for gospel.
